Chocolate Turtle Bundt Cake is a decadent dessert made with rich chocolate cake, gooey caramel, crunchy pecans, and a drizzle of chocolate ganache. It’s the perfect indulgence for special occasions or chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ganache or melted chocolate for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-cup bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, water, and vanilla. Mix until well blended.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Drizzle 1/2 cup caramel sauce over the batter, avoiding the edges.
  5. Pour remaining batter on top to cover the caramel.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cool, drizzle with chocolate ganache and additional caramel sauce. Top with extra pecans if desired.

Notes

  • Use homemade or store-bought caramel and ganache based on preference.
  • Allow cake to cool completely before adding toppings to prevent melting.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored covered at room temperature.
