Festive and fun, these Christmas Pretzel Rods are a perfect holiday treat! They’re sweet, salty, and super easy to make. Decorate them with your favorite holiday sprinkles for a snack everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 pretzel rods
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or candy melts)
  • 1 cup milk or dark chocolate chips (or candy melts)
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Assorted holiday sprinkles (red, green, white, gold, etc.)
  • Crushed candy canes (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Work Area: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Melt the Chocolate: In separate bowls, melt the white and milk/dark chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Add 1/4 tsp of coconut oil to each bowl if needed for a smoother consistency.
  • Dip the Pretzel Rods: Dip each pretzel rod about 2/3 of the way into one type of melted chocolate. Allow excess to drip off.
  • Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes. Be creative and mix designs!
  • Cool and Set: Place the decorated pretzel rods on the prepared baking sheet. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until firm.
  • Serve or Package: Enjoy immediately, or package in cellophane bags tied with festive ribbon for gifting.

Notes

  • Use colored candy melts for even more vibrant designs.
  • Pretzel rods can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • To prevent chocolate from clumping, ensure your bowls and utensils are completely dry before melting.
