This Cinnamon Roll Apple Crisp is the perfect mash-up of two classic favorites! Warm spiced apples are topped with a sweet, gooey cinnamon roll topping that bakes up golden and soft. It’s an easy and cozy dessert that’s great for fall, holidays, or any time you’re craving something comforting.
For the Apple Filling:
5 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), peeled and sliced
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
For the Cinnamon Roll Topping:
1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8-count, with icing included)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Toss to coat evenly.
Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread out evenly.
Open the can of cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
Toss cinnamon roll pieces in the sugar-butter mixture until coated.
Evenly spread the coated cinnamon roll pieces over the apple filling.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
Drizzle the included icing packet over the top while the crisp is still warm.
Serve warm—optionally with vanilla ice cream!
Feel free to use homemade cinnamon rolls if you have extra time.
Granny Smith apples add tartness, but sweeter varieties like Fuji or Gala work too.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven or microwave.
