Ingredients
Scale
1 lb cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and bubbling.
Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they begin to brown and release their moisture, about 8-10 minutes.
Stir in garlic, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add Worcestershire sauce and stir to coat the mushrooms evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of bourbon while cooking.
Great as a topping for steak, burgers, or baked potatoes.
