Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) can crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cooked crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation), finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped green onion. Mix until well combined.
  3. Assemble the Crescent Puffs:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
    • Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling onto the widest part of each triangle.
    • Fold the dough over the filling, rolling it up tightly from the wide end to the tip. Pinch the edges to seal the filling inside.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the crescent puffs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute the crab with cooked shrimp or lobster for variety.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the filling for a spicy kick.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
