This Cream Cheese Bacon Chicken Pasta is the ultimate comfort food! Tender chicken, crispy bacon, and pasta are coated in a rich, creamy cheese sauce with hints of garlic and herbs. Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta:

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the bacon and chicken:

  • In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the pan.
  • Add olive oil to the bacon grease if needed.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  • Cook chicken over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the cream cheese sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the cream cheese and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine and serve:

  • Add the cooked pasta, chicken, and crumbled bacon into the skillet with the sauce. Stir until everything is coated and heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
