Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, thick, and extra creamy thanks to the addition of cream cheese in the dough. These indulgent cookies are rich, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  8. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • You can substitute white chocolate chips or add nuts for variation.
