These Creamy Bacon Pork Chops are juicy, pan-seared pork chops smothered in a rich, garlicky bacon cream sauce. This easy, one-pan recipe is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner and pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies!

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Creamy Bacon Sauce:

  • 4 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare and Season the Pork Chops

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 2: Sear the Pork Chops

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove from the pan and set aside (they will finish cooking in the sauce).

Step 3: Cook the Bacon

  1. In the same skillet, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
  2. Remove some of the excess bacon grease, leaving about 1-2 tbsp in the pan.

Step 4: Make the Cream Sauce

  1. Add garlic to the bacon and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 5: Finish Cooking the Pork Chops

  1. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning sauce over them.
  2. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine before adding the broth.
  • Substitutions: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
