Creamy Garlic Shrimp is a rich and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a buttery garlic cream sauce with Parmesan and herbs. Perfect served over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side, just until shrimp turns pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, cooking until sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat in sauce. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp—avoid overcooking to keep them tender.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and texture.
  • This dish pairs well with linguine, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
