Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a comforting and rich dish made with tender chicken, al dente pasta, and a luscious garlic-Parmesan cream sauce perfect for a weeknight meal or special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine preferred)
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Return chicken to the pan, then add cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Use rotisserie chicken to speed up prep time.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
