This Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole is a simple yet hearty dish made with layers of flaky crescent rolls, fluffy eggs, savory sausage, and gooey cheese. Perfect for feeding a crowd or meal prepping for busy mornings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) can crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey), cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Layer the Crescent Rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching the seams together to form a single layer.
  3. Add the Sausage and Cheese:
    • Spread the cooked and crumbled sausage evenly over the crescent roll layer. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  4. Mix the Egg Mixture:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour and Bake:
    • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese.
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the crescent roll crust is golden brown.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley or chives if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add vegetables like diced bell peppers, onions, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Substitute the sausage with cooked bacon or ham for variety.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, and reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
