Crispy Baked Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish featuring juicy shrimp coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and baked to golden perfection. A healthier alternative to fried shrimp, perfect as an appetizer or light main course.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil to coat.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Arrange shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until shrimp are cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy.
  7. Sprinkle with parsley if using and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best texture.
  • Panko breadcrumbs give extra crunch, but regular breadcrumbs can be used.
  • Serve with cocktail sauce or a squeeze of lemon for extra flavor.
