Crispy Parmesan Potato Chips are thinly sliced potatoes baked or fried to golden perfection and sprinkled with savory Parmesan cheese, making them an irresistible homemade snack or side dish.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Thinly slice potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, toss potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet without overlapping.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the potato slices.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely near the end to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for consistent thickness to ensure even baking.
  • For extra crispiness, soak slices in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before baking.
  • Can also be made in an air fryer at 375°F for about 10–12 minutes in batches.
