Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Optional Dipping Sauce:

  • Ranch dressing, honey mustard, or marinara sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack for extra crispiness.

2. Prepare the Breading Station:

  1. In one shallow dish, combine flour and half the ranch seasoning mix.
  2. In a second shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and water.
  3. In a third shallow dish, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and the remaining ranch seasoning mix.

3. Bread the Chicken:

  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
  2. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  3. Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Press into the breadcrumb mixture, coating evenly on all sides. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake the Chicken:

  1. Spray the breaded chicken tenders lightly with cooking spray to help them crisp up.
  2. Bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

5. Serve:

  • Serve the chicken tenders warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Air Fryer Option: Cook the tenders in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Make Ahead: Bread the chicken tenders and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before baking.
  • Variations: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick or swap out panko for crushed cornflakes for extra crunch.
