Refreshing Mexican-style drink made from blended cucumber, lime, and a touch of sweetness—perfect for hot days and light sips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and chopped (about 2 cups)
  • 4 cups cold water, divided
  • 23 tbsp agave syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • Ice cubes and mint leaves for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine chopped cucumber with 1 cup of cold water; blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract juice and discard solids.
  3. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water, agave or sugar, and fresh lime juice; stir until sweetener is fully dissolved.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as desired.
  5. Serve over ice with a sprig of mint or cucumber slice garnish.
  6. Keep chilled; stir before serving as ingredients may settle.

Notes

  • Use flavored sparkling water instead of still for a fizzy twist.
  • Try adding fresh mint or basil for extra freshness.
  • Make ahead and chill for up to 2 days; stir before serving.
  • To make a lower-sugar version, omit the sweetener entirely or use a sugar substitute.
