Dill Pickle Pie Pizza is a tangy, cheesy twist on traditional pizza featuring a creamy garlic-dill sauce, layers of mozzarella, and plenty of sliced dill pickles. It’s bold, briny, and totally unique.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 prepared pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles (about 1216 slices)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired size and thickness. Transfer to a pizza pan or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, dill, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  4. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then arrange dill pickle slices on top.
  6. Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool for a couple minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use bread-and-butter pickles for a sweeter twist.
  • Great with a drizzle of ranch or hot sauce after baking.
  • Thinly sliced red onions make a nice additional topping.
