A sweet and savory twist on a classic, this donut grilled cheese is loaded with crispy bacon and drizzled with maple syrup for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 glazed donuts, sliced horizontally
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly butter the cut sides of the donut halves.
  2. Place one donut half, cut side down, on the skillet and layer with a slice of cheese, 2 slices of bacon, and the second slice of cheese.
  3. Top with the other donut half, cut side down.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing down gently, until the donuts are golden and the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from skillet and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
