Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are rich, fudgy treats packed with cocoa powder and loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for satisfying any chocolate lover’s cravings.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers still look slightly soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Use dark chocolate chips for an even richer flavor.
  • Cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
