A creamy and indulgent pudding made with rich dulce de leche, perfect for a quick and satisfying dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream and crushed nuts for topping

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and heavy cream over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of cold water and add to the milk mixture.
  3. Add the salt and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool slightly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully chilled.
  6. Before serving, top with whipped cream and crushed nuts if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the thickness by using more or less cornstarch to your preference.
  • Use a fine mesh sieve if you want an ultra-smooth texture.
  • This pudding pairs well with a sprinkle of sea salt or cinnamon.
