These Easter M&M Cookie Bars are soft, chewy, and filled with colorful candy-coated chocolate pieces. They’re the perfect festive treat for spring celebrations and are easy to whip up in one bowl. Great for parties, Easter baskets, or a fun baking activity with kids!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1½ cups pastel Easter M&M candies

  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

  • Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.

  • Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined—don’t overmix.

  • Fold in Easter M&M candies and white chocolate chips if using.

  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Press a few extra M&Ms on top for a pretty finish.

  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • You can use regular M&Ms if Easter ones aren’t available.

  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

  • For gooier bars, bake slightly less; for firmer bars, leave in an extra couple of minutes.
