Easy Chimichurri Sauce is a fresh, zesty Argentine condiment made with parsley, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. It’s perfect for grilled meats, vegetables, or as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano or 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine parsley, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Stir in olive oil and red wine vinegar until well mixed.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Let sit for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
  • Chimichurri can also be made in a food processor for a smoother texture.
  • Delicious over steak, chicken, fish, or roasted vegetables.
