Easy Cinnamon Apples are tender, caramelized apple slices cooked with butter, brown sugar, and warm cinnamon — a quick and cozy treat that’s perfect as a side dish, topping, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir to coat.
  3. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and caramelized to your liking.
  4. Serve warm on their own, over oatmeal, pancakes, or ice cream.

Notes

  • Use sweet, firm apples that hold their shape when cooked.
