1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth.
Shape dough into a ball and place on parchment paper.
Place parchment and dough into a 4–6 quart Crock Pot. Cover with lid.
Cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the bread is set and bottom is golden brown.
Optional: For a crispier crust, transfer bread to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2–3 minutes.
Let cool before slicing and serving.
