A refreshing and creamy dessert or side dish that’s perfect for hot days. This frozen fruit salad is made with a mix of juicy fruits and a creamy base, making it a family favorite for potlucks or holiday dinners!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen mixed fruit (pineapple, strawberries, peaches, and mango work well)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare fruit: If using large frozen fruit pieces, thaw slightly and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • Mix base: In a large bowl, combine whipped topping, vanilla yogurt, and powdered sugar (if using). Stir until smooth.
  • Add fruit: Gently fold the frozen fruit into the creamy mixture. Add nuts, coconut, and mini marshmallows if desired.
  • Transfer to a dish: Pour the mixture into a loaf pan, 8×8 baking dish, or individual serving cups.
  • Freeze: Cover with plastic wrap or foil and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Serve: Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Scoop or slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use fresh fruit instead of frozen, but be sure to freeze the salad for at least 4 hours before serving.
  • This recipe is versatile—swap the fruit for your favorites or use a tropical mix for a fun twist.
  • Store leftovers in the freezer for up to 1 week.
