This easy fruit and cream patriotic red, white, and blue dessert is a festive, no-bake treat made with layers of fresh berries, whipped cream, and cake or yogurt—perfect for Fourth of July or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup angel food cake or pound cake, cubed (optional)
  • 1.5 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (if using homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, to sweeten cream)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the whipped cream: If using homemade, whip chilled cream with vanilla extract and sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. In serving glasses or a trifle dish, layer cubed cake (if using), followed by strawberries, a dollop of whipped cream, then blueberries and raspberries.
  3. Repeat layers as desired, finishing with a generous spoonful of whipped cream and a few berries on top for garnish.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving, or serve immediately.
