These Easy Grape Jelly Meatballs are the ultimate party appetizer! The combination of sweet grape jelly and tangy barbecue sauce creates a luscious glaze that pairs perfectly with juicy meatballs. Made with just a few ingredients, they’re a go-to for potlucks, game days, and holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (32 oz/900 g) bag of frozen meatballs (fully cooked)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) grape jelly
  • 1 cup (240 ml) barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for added tang)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sauce ingredients:
    • In a large skillet or saucepan, combine the grape jelly, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard (if using). Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is smooth and begins to simmer.
  2. Add the meatballs:
    • Add the frozen meatballs to the skillet and stir to coat them evenly in the sauce.
  3. Simmer the meatballs:
    • Reduce the heat to low and cover. Let the meatballs simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer the meatballs to a serving dish or keep them warm in a slow cooker on low heat. Serve with toothpicks for easy eating!

Notes

  • Slow cooker method: Add the grape jelly, barbecue sauce, and frozen meatballs to a slow cooker. Stir to combine and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  • Homemade meatballs: If using homemade meatballs, cook them first before adding them to the sauce.
  • Variations: Swap grape jelly for cranberry sauce or apricot preserves for a different flavor twist.
