Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are mini sandwiches packed with thinly sliced steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted provolone cheese on soft slider buns. A quick and crowd-pleasing appetizer or dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak or deli roast beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for butter topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté peppers and onions until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add sliced steak to the skillet, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Slice slider buns horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  5. Evenly spread the steak mixture over the buns, then top with provolone cheese slices.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
  7. Mix melted butter with oregano and garlic powder, then brush over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or American cheese.
  • Use pre-cooked roast beef for an even quicker version.
  • Add mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
