Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. Let the sauce sit for 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
  3. Garnish with green onions if desired and serve as a dipping sauce for egg rolls.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the honey or syrup.
  • Add a splash of water if the sauce is too strong.
