FROG Jam is a sweet and tangy homemade preserve made from a delightful blend of figs, raspberries, oranges, and ginger, perfect for spreading on toast or serving with cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh figs, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 medium orange, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 packet fruit pectin (1.75 oz)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine figs, raspberries, orange, and ginger over medium heat.
  2. Stir in lemon juice and pectin, bringing the mixture to a rolling boil.
  3. Add the sugar all at once, stirring constantly until fully dissolved.
  4. Return to a full boil and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  6. Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
  7. Seal jars with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely before storing.

Notes

  • Use ripe figs for the best natural sweetness.
  • Adjust the amount of ginger based on your spice preference.
  • Store unopened jars in a cool, dark place; refrigerate after opening.
