These Fudgy Pecan Brownies are rich, chewy, and loaded with crunchy pecans. With a deep chocolate flavor and gooey texture, they’re the perfect treat for chocolate lovers. Serve them warm with a scoop of ice cream or enjoy them with a cup of coffee!

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare the Pan

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2: Make the Brownie Batter

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

Step 3: Bake the Brownies

  1. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  2. Sprinkle extra pecans on top for extra crunch.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Step 4: Cool & Serve

  1. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  2. Cut into squares and enjoy warm or at room temperature!
