Garlic Butter Chicken Pasta is a rich and comforting dish featuring tender chicken pieces tossed with pasta in a flavorful garlic butter sauce. It’s an easy and satisfying meal perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Push chicken to the side of the skillet and add minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a silky sauce.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp or keep it vegetarian with sautéed mushrooms.
  • Double the garlic if you’re a garlic lover!
