A simple yet flavorful garlic butter salmon recipe that’s pan-seared to perfection and finished with a rich, buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  4. Flip the fillets and cook for another 2–3 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Push salmon to one side and add butter to the pan.
  6. Once butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and spoon the garlic butter over the salmon.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use skin-on salmon for a crispier texture and easier handling.
  • Don’t overcook the garlic to prevent bitterness.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
