Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Stir in remaining butter and lemon juice, cook for another 1 minute until sauce is slightly thickened.
Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp—remove from heat as soon as they turn pink.
Serve with pasta, rice, or a fresh green salad.
Add white wine for extra depth of flavor (reduce lemon juice slightly).
