Garlic Parmesan Sugar Snap Peas are a quick and flavorful side dish, sautéed with garlic and tossed with grated Parmesan cheese for a savory, crisp-tender vegetable that’s perfect with any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 oz fresh sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add sugar snap peas, salt, and pepper; cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peas are bright green and tender-crisp.
  4. Remove from heat and toss with Parmesan cheese until evenly coated.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook peas to maintain their crisp texture.
  • Grated Pecorino Romano can be used in place of Parmesan.
  • Great as a side dish or added to grain bowls and salads.
