This creamy and garlicky sauce is the perfect companion for pizza, adding a flavorful punch to every slice. Use it as a dipping sauce or drizzle it over your pizza for extra indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter:
    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Cook the Garlic:
    • Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • Stir in the heavy cream and garlic powder (if using). Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add Parmesan Cheese:
    • Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Season:
    • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm as a pizza dipping sauce or drizzle it directly onto pizza slices.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer until it reduces to your desired consistency.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
