  • 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Irish cream liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) gingerbread syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream or half-and-half
  • Ice

For the rim:

  • 2 tbsp crushed gingersnap cookies or graham crackers
  • 1 tbsp caramel or honey (for sticking the crumbs)

For garnish:

  • Whipped cream
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg
  • Small gingerbread cookie (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the glass:

  • Dip the rim of a martini glass into caramel or honey, then roll it in the crushed gingersnap cookies to coat. Set aside.

2. Mix the cocktail:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, Irish cream, gingerbread syrup, and heavy cream. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.

3. Serve:

  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass.

4. Garnish:

  • Top with a dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon or nutmeg, and place a small gingerbread cookie on the rim if desired.

5. Enjoy:

  • Serve immediately and toast to the holidays!

Notes

  • Homemade Gingerbread Syrup: Combine 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar, 1/2 cup (120 ml) water, 1 tsp ground ginger, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp ground cloves in a saucepan. Simmer until the sugar dissolves, then cool and strain.
  • Substitute vanilla vodka for regular vodka for extra flavor.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka and Irish cream with milk or almond milk and add extra gingerbread syrup.
