These Golden Cheese Crunch Bites are crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor! Made with gooey melted cheese inside a crunchy, golden coating, they’re the perfect snack, appetizer, or party treat. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces for a delicious bite every time!

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup crushed cornflakes (for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Cheese

  1. Cut the cheese block into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Place in the freezer for 15-20 minutes (this helps prevent melting while frying).

Step 2: Prepare Breading Stations

  1. In a shallow bowl, add flour.
  2. In a second bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  3. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, crushed cornflakes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3: Coat the Cheese Bites

  1. Roll each cheese cube in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring full coverage.
  3. Coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  4. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for extra crunch.

Step 4: Fry Until Golden

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat (about 350°F/175°C).
  2. Fry cheese bites in batches for 30-45 seconds, until golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
