Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

  • 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 150 g (1 1/2 cups) shredded cheddar or American cheese

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Dill pickles (optional)
  • Ketchup and mustard (or your favorite burger sauce)

For Grilling:

  • 1 tbsp butter or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef Filling:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion, cooking until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
    • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Wraps:
    • Lay a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a small amount of ketchup and mustard in the center.
    • Add a layer of lettuce, followed by a few slices of tomato and pickles.
    • Spoon 1/4 of the beef mixture onto the tortilla and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  3. Wrap the Tortilla:
    • Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap.
  4. Grill the Wraps:
    • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
    • Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve:
    • Slice the wraps in half and serve warm. Pair with fries, a salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix some mayonnaise with ketchup and a dash of pickle juice to create a burger sauce for the wraps.
  • Customize with your favorite burger toppings like bacon, sautéed mushrooms, or jalapeños.
  • These wraps can be made ahead of time and grilled just before serving.
