This grilled garlic bread is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and infused with smoky, buttery garlic flavor. Perfect for pairing with steak, pasta, or BBQ dishes, it’s an easy way to upgrade your meal with just a few ingredients!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 loaf French bread (or Italian bread), sliced in half lengthwise
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smoky flavor)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing the grill)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill: Set your grill to medium heat (375-400°F). Lightly brush the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  2. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).

  3. Prepare the bread: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if using.

  4. Grill the bread: Place the bread cut-side down on the grill grates. Grill for 2-3 minutes, until lightly charred. Flip and grill for another 2-3 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  5. Serve & enjoy: Remove from the grill, slice into pieces, and serve warm!

Notes

  • Want extra crunch? Grill for an additional minute per side for a crispier texture.
  • No fresh garlic? Use 1 teaspoon garlic powder instead.
  • Make it cheesy! Add shredded mozzarella and grill until melted for cheesy garlic bread.
  • Great with dips! Serve with marinara, ranch, or a garlic butter dipping sauce.
