A hearty and comforting Ground Beef Pasta Bake made with seasoned beef, pasta, tomato sauce, and cheese – perfect for an easy weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing casserole.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or ziti)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Mix cooked pasta with the beef and sauce mixture.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
