Homemade Light Ranch Dressing is a healthier take on the classic creamy dressing, made with Greek yogurt and simple seasonings. It’s perfect for salads, dipping veggies, or drizzling over wraps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup low-fat buttermilk (or milk with 1 tsp vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, buttermilk, and light mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Add in dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  3. Stir in fresh herbs if using.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. Stir before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Adjust the thickness by adding more buttermilk for a pourable dressing or less for a dip.
  • Great as a dip for vegetables, chicken tenders, or chips.
  • Use fresh herbs for a brighter, fresher taste.
