  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, basil

Instructions

  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil; knead by hand or mixer for 7–10 minutes until elastic.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1½ hours or refrigerate overnight.
  4. For sauce, heat oil in a pan, sauté garlic, add tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper; simmer 10 minutes.

  6. Divide dough into two balls, let rest 15 minutes, then stretch into circles.
  7. Transfer dough to parchment or cornmeal-dusted peel, spread sauce, add cheese and toppings.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese bubbly.
  9. Top with fresh basil or olive oil if desired; slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use bread flour for a chewier crust.
  • Cold-ferment dough overnight for more flavor.
  • Pre-cook toppings like sausage or mushrooms.
  • Freeze leftover dough in an airtight bag.
  • Let pizza cool slightly before slicing for clean cuts.
