These Honey BBQ Crockpot Meatballs are sweet, tangy, and perfect for parties or as a quick weeknight dinner. Using frozen meatballs makes this recipe effortless, while the homemade honey BBQ sauce adds irresistible flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs (900 g) frozen meatballs (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

For garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  2. Assemble in the crockpot:
    • Place the frozen meatballs in the crockpot. Pour the honey BBQ sauce over the top, making sure all the meatballs are coated.
  3. Cook the meatballs:
    • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  4. Serve:
    • Once heated through and glazed with the sauce, transfer the meatballs to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm with toothpicks for an appetizer or over rice or mashed potatoes for a main dish.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add 1-2 teaspoons of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or stovetop.
