Hot Fudge Sauce is a rich, velvety chocolate sauce perfect for drizzling over ice cream, cakes, or any dessert that needs a touch of indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Let the sauce cool slightly before serving. It will thicken as it cools.
  6. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat gently before serving.

Notes

  • For a deeper chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
  • Adjust the thickness by adding a splash of cream if needed after reheating.
  • Delicious over ice cream, brownies, or fresh fruit.
