Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits are a sweet, spicy, and savory delight featuring crispy fried chicken sandwiched between fluffy biscuits and drizzled with homemade hot honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 buttermilk biscuits, split
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (177°C).
  4. Dredge chicken in the seasoned flour, pressing to coat well.
  5. Fry chicken thighs for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat honey, hot sauce, and butter until melted and combined to create the hot honey sauce.
  7. Assemble biscuits by placing a fried chicken thigh inside each split biscuit.
  8. Drizzle hot honey generously over the chicken before serving.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade biscuits depending on your preference.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce for a milder or spicier honey drizzle.
  • Serve immediately for the crispiest chicken and fluffiest biscuits.
