A zesty and flavorful homemade Italian pasta salad dressing made with simple pantry staples, perfect for tossing with pasta, vegetables, or as a marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional, to balance acidity)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl or jar, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice.
  2. Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and honey if using.
  3. Whisk or shake well until emulsified.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake before each use.
