- 1 package (6 oz) red Jell-O (strawberry or cherry)
- 1 package (6 oz) blue Jell-O (berry blue)
- 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 1/2 cups boiling water, divided
- 2 1/2 cups cold water, divided
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve red Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup cold water. Pour into a 9×13 inch pan. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
- In another bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Add sweetened condensed milk and stir well. Let cool to room temperature. Pour over the red layer and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
- Dissolve blue Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup cold water. Let cool slightly, then pour over the white layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until completely set.
- Once fully set, cut into star shapes or squares using a cookie cutter or knife. Serve chilled.
Notes
- Make sure each layer is fully set before adding the next to prevent colors from mixing.
- You can use sugar-free Jell-O for a lower calorie version.
- Using a metal pan may help the Jello set faster.
