Kiwi Sorbet is a refreshing and vibrant frozen dessert made with ripe kiwis, sugar, and a splash of lime. It’s naturally sweet and tart, making it the perfect treat for hot days or as a light finish to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ripe kiwis, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely to make a simple syrup.
  2. In a blender or food processor, puree the kiwis until smooth.
  3. Add the cooled simple syrup, lime juice, and lime zest (if using) to the kiwi puree and blend again to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches sorbet consistency.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  6. Scoop and serve chilled.

Notes

  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish, freeze, and stir every 30 minutes until smooth and frozen.
  • Adjust sugar to taste depending on the sweetness of the kiwis.
  • Add a splash of vodka to the mixture before freezing to keep the texture softer.
