  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley if using.
  6. Serve immediately or keep warm until ready to use.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • This sauce pairs wonderfully with seafood, especially salmon or shrimp.
  • Double the recipe for larger servings or batch cooking.
  • For a creamier texture, add a tablespoon of heavy cream at the end.
