Lemon Pasta is a bright and refreshing dish made with al dente pasta tossed in a creamy lemon-infused sauce, perfect as a light main course or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest and juice of 1 large lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream.
  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
